How to Convert/Rip DVDs to your iPod (for free)
What will be needed:
- DVD Ripping Software (DVD Shrink)
- File Converter (Videora)
- A DVD to Convert
- iTunes
- iPod

Steps:
- Downloading and installing the Programs
- Ripping DVD to .vob file
- Converting .vob file to .mp4
- Putting .mp4 file onto iPod
Step 1 – Downloading and installing the Programs
- Download DVD Shrink here
- Download Videora here
- Install both the programs
- Open up DVD shrink, go to file > preferences > Output files and untick the “Split .vob files into 1gb chunks”

Step 2 – Ripping DVD to .vob file
1. Put your disc into the drive
2. Press open DVD
3. Let it load
4. Once loaded click “Re-Auther”
5. Drag the largest file (the main title around 4-8gb) to the left hand side
6. Click Backup!
7. Choose save to Hard disk
8. Wait for the DVD to rip, it can take up to 60min and 6gb
Step 3 – Converting .vob file to .mp4
1. Open up Videora and choose which iPod you use
2. Click the Convert “Video File” link
3. Click Convert new file
4. Find the DVD file (it will be in the VIDEO_TS folder ending in .vob)
5. Choose the place where you want the new file to be saved
6. Give it a title
7. Choose your Quality (I recommend using higher quality)
(Higher Quality means More space used up)
8. Click convert
Step 4 – Putting .mp4 file onto iPod
1. Find the location of your new .mp4 file
2. Drag and drop the file into iTunes
3. Plug in your iPod and sync the videos
4. Check the video on your iPod
