40 Days of Blog – David Day 25 (Part 2)

It’s very sad to hear about people dying. Even though we knew Jade Goody was dying, it was still a massive shock to find out she had died. I’m sure people would have found out in different ways, there were Facebook status’s going out, Myspace status’s, youtube, News websites etc. I found out on Twitter. This leads me into talking about how communication has advanced so much. I wouldn’t know what to do without my mobile. I’m constantly in touch with people (I tell a small lie, my last text was from my dad 6 days ago..) But it’s crazy how we can talk on the go to people who are 1000’s of miles away. Twitter isn’t a new program but it has recently been hyped up in the news. Now instead of watching Youtubers videos, were following them on twitter, dailybooth, facebook and emails. It’s just 40 years ago, if we could go back in time and show someone the new iPhone it would be crazy. The memory in them (8-32gb) would have been rooms and rooms of 6ft high machines 40 years ago. But now we have 1TB (1000gb – 1000000mb) hard drives!

My idea for the future is that instead of having memory, we will stream everything. So instead of paying stupid amounts of money for albums and dvd’s, we stream it over the internet maybe for a yearly cost (like our TV licenses). Our iPods, phones and mini laptops will all have Wi-Fi. And by then the whole of the UK will be a Wi-Fi hot spot (just like our mobile phone reception). Then with the internet you would access your documents online instead of having it on a hard drive at home. You could watch TV (soon I’m positive TV will be over the internet). I know I’m rambling but what I’m saying here is just around the corner!

Wow, I think that you know everything that’s happening in the World today after reading all them stories

Having heard the term and name “Digg” I had never really understood what it is! Basically people create Digg accounts, and if they see a page (such as this ) which they like, they Digg it. Then it appears on their site so people can look at it! I think that’s a great idea, so I added the “Share” link to the bottom of every post, so if you like it you can share to Facebook, Myspace, Digg, Mail and about 20 others!
