40 Days of Blog – David Day 9
[poll id="3"]
Hello! Firstly before I indulge into my blog I would like you to check out my Sponsored Bike Ride website as this is the last time I blog before this epic day!
JustGiving.com/50
It’s for Cancer Research, there is £175 raised on the website, plus £10 im about to upload from sponsors at school. Then we have around £200 on paper (not handed in yet)!
Todays talk shall be on the “legendary” DailyBooth. Currently my 2nd favourite website after my favourite website (obvs) but I can’t release this private information as it is one of my questions in my quiz! Check it out, remember there is a prize for the winner!
Dailybooth is a new website (around a month old apparantly) where you take a photo of yourself everyday. You might be thinking exactly like this guy:
And I can understand that, why exactly would you want to see a photo of some people everyday!
But having said this, it is a great Idea (blatantly copied from Noah, the guy who takes a photo of himself everyday for 6years) and something to keep people occupied. It works similar to youtube, you can follow people and know when they upload a new photo. Hopefully if I keep it up and look back in a few months time it would be interesting.
You do of course you get comedians who try and make each photo funny:
And people who don’t understand the meaning of “Dailybooth”
Make sure you check me out here. (that sounds wrong)
Moving onto the News:
News of the Day:
- Bank of England plan to print off £75bn. (read) < Hang on a minute, you can’t just print off money? It will become worthless!
- Government drop interest rate to all time low “0.5percent” it’s pretty pointless saving money now! (read)
- My grandparents follow the Queen’s car convoy down the Clive Sullivan way after her visit to Hull today!
Video of the Day:
Near Misses on rail crossings..
Joke of the Day:
An airline captain was helping a new blonde flight attendant prepare for her first overnight trip. Upon their arrival, the captain showed the flight attendant the best place for airline personnel to eat, shop, and stay overnight. The next morning as the pilot was preparing the crew for the day’s route, he noticed the new stewardess was missing. He knew which room she was in at the hotel and called her up to ask what happened to her. She answered the phone, crying, and said, “I can’t get out of the room!” “You can’t get out of your room?”; the captain asked. “Why not?” She replied, “There are only three doors in here,” she sobbed, “one is the bathroom, one is the closet, and one has a sign on it that says ‘Do Not Disturb’!”
Skiing Blog – Day 3
Same breakfast and time as usual however this morning we planned to go skiing in Avorias a resort higher up which we had paid extra to gain access to. However the weather was awful. It was very cloudy and it was snowing, so we decided against it! Instead we did a few routes near the hotel in the weather, luckily it wasn’t cold or windy. During the morning we met a pig:
Saw many people fall:
and even saw a man get taken down the mountain on a stretcher.
This was worrying and showed how dangerous the ski slopes are in bad weather!
However we survived and returned back to the hotel for lunch at 1.15pm and then decided it was too dangerous to ski anymore so we took the lift down to the town of Morzine to go shopping for a while.
(oh and did a time lapse out of my window.. go me)
Weather: 4/10 Foggy and snowing, however warmer than day 2
Snow: 9/10 Excellent near powder snow.
Routes we took
Piste C (b) > Piste H(r) > Piste J (bl) > Piste R (r) > Piste F ( r) > Coffee Stop > Piste R (r ) > Pointe De Nyon > Agle (r ) > La Combe (r ) > Ravenettres (b) > Lieure (b) > Found Pig > Piste F (r ) > Hotel for Lunch
And Finally it’s time for…
Quiz 3
