40 Days of Blog – David Day 29

You may have noticed even more changes to the site.. Including the users online, the random joke (email me to have yours appear!) and the most popular posts.

Please give me some more ideas for the site! :

Having an increasing amount of people reading the blogs it’s obvious new faces are good. We’ve had numerous faces, such as my Dad, Luke, Glenn, John, Josh and Chris’s Parents. Each have been decent blogs, (cough).

Me and Chris really do welcome anyone who fancies blogging. Just giving it a go really does help. Notice Glenns? After his guest appearance, he now blogs every Sunday! So make sure you register (click the big blue button top left) and post away!

David’s Future Ideas #2

Having seen the new iPhone, it has really brought the future (as what I saw it) to reality. Think back 5 years, I was in primary school. Less than 10 of us had mobile phones, of which 2 or 3 had colour screens, never mind games, cameras or wi-fi! (was wi-fi even invented then?.. edit* Google tells me it was invented in 1991, my bad)

It just shows how technology has advanced so far. I mean I look at my phone now, it’s 15months old and it has a 5mp camera, a 2inch screen and many other features which we take for granted.

Now if we take a look into the future, I think we will start to see things starting to merge, we have already seen the iPod and the phone merge, and more or less seen the camera merge into the phone, but what can we expect? Here are my ideas…

  • 10mega pixel cameras with a decent lense
  • 1tb internal memory to store thousands of tracks, photos and videos
  • GPS
  • 3-4inch Touch screens
  • Operating systems such as Windows or Mac where you can install games, programs and other things computers can do
  • Wi-Fi where you can access the internet across the country for free (by then I’m sure the UK will be a Wi-Fi hotspot)

Now that’s just a few ideas which pop into my head, and I’m sure they are all pretty feasable, I reckon in the next 5 years, we will have “multimedia devices” which contain all those things I have mentioned!

Anyway, moving on…

Video of the Day:

Now for day 4 of my Skiing blog, I know secretly you have been missing it! ;)

Skiing Blog – Day 4

Day 4 and tiredness had finally set in. The weather was patchy, fog kept crawling in. It was freezing. After a few runs on the new fresh snow, we realised how bad it can be. The snow had fallen after the piste bashers had been out so it was deep, that’s great for the first skiers who go on these runs. However after many skiers had skied on the runs, many moguls are formed. Every run had moguls which crippled our already tired legs and knees! We then had to carefully choose each run to make sure the mogul’s weren’t too bad as my father’s knees and thighs were giving up after going over all these freshly formed moguls! My knees wern’t too bad.. My Dad then changed his skis, he claimed the edges weren’t sharp enough and there was no wax on the skis..54

After he left us we skied a few runs and returned to a restaurant and enjoyed a lovely local meal. The rest of the day was average and I returned tired and looking forward to afternoon tea.

Weather: 6/10 Patchy fog and sunshine, freezing cold weather
Snow: 8/10 Lovely fresh snow, however the runs weren’t piste bashed so they were very mogully
