Chris’ Blog #7

It may not seem it but it’s nearly been two months now since I started writing my blogs, it seems like a few years, I came out the womb and started writing a blog. But no, really at only my 7th blog I’m still a noob blogger. It’s odd though, seven blogs in and I’m starting to run dry, my ideas are either getting repetative or just boring. Here’s a lottle look into the future, next week will be just as normal I’ll post up Blog 8, the week after is the day after my birthday so that should be a better blog. The saturday after that (13th I think) I’ll be in Paris, unless I completely turn into a minor loser I wont be finding an internet cafe and posting Blog 10. Seen as I’m already running out of ideas I figure by my tenth blog, I’ll be near depression and for this reason, my blog’s will be fortnightly, not weekly. It’s sad I know, have a virtual tissue:

IN OTHER NEWS:

John Sargeant QUIT strictly come dancing! This would usually be rubbish news but I actually find it rediculous how this story is reaching front pages of National Papers and being talked about for 10 minutes on Sky News, clearly nothing important is happening accross the world.

It’s going to snow! Again, this is appearing on the fron of newspapers? It’s going to snow, it’s probably going to be very cold. It is nearly winter, a bit of snow in November is hardly breaking news now is it? It should stay in it’s little box at the corner of the page, not the front.

- This would be were I’d put a picture of me to signal the start of the blog, but to be quite frank, I can’t be bothered. I’ll probably put an image in later.-

Chris’ Guide #6: Mocks

It’s that time of the year were you laugh at some of the posters which say ‘Y11 Mocks…’ except this year it’s you, you’ve stopped laughing and begun to cry. I’m here for you, to help you through this tough and stessful time.

  • They’re only Mocks. I can’t emphasise this enough, if you’re getting stressed out about these, you’ve got no chance when it comes to the real thing. Some Mocks Results will decide wether you do Higher or Foundation, focus on these. For example, I’ve already been told I’m going for Higher in IT and Maths. I’m not going to waste time revising for those subjects when I can be revising for another, like lovely Food.
  • Do it before you parents tell you to. It could just be me, but when my Dad tells me to revise, I’ll instantly moan and plead him to let me off for tonight. I don’t really mind revising just being told to makes it seem alot more negative. So, if you do it before you’re asked, you’ll be alot less negative about it.
  • Methods. People all revise differently, I can’t tell you the best way to revise, there isn’t one. Some people like to write up a timetable, it works for them but for me just feels like an extra few hours of school, thus making revision more negative for me. I just prefer to do it when I feel, if I’m not in ‘The Mood’ for revision, I just can’t do it, I wont get anything out of it. Don’t fall into that trap, if you’re going to spend time revising make sure you actually benefit from it.
  • Lessons. Get yourself in ‘The Zone’, ignore idiots and get as much revision in as possible, the more you get in lessons, the less you have to do at home ;)

Phew, an unamusing blog. I don’t do those very often, ah well while writing my guide, I noticed the snow outside, definatly deserves to be on the front of The Times.

Oh and for those Avid readers of my blogs, you probably thought I was going to aim for 1000 words. I’m not, I can’t. I blame the Comedy Crunch. :p

See you next week and have a nice weekend.
