#1 David – 10 Weeks of Blog – Exams, Ronaldo, iPhone 3GS and Excitement
The feeling I am feeling right now, can’t be explained by words. The excitement of finally completing my GCSE year is unbelievable. Then to have 11 weeks of summer afterwards to chill, just makes it amazing! Bring it on
To keep the 11 weeks off “exciting” me and Chris have decided to do the 10 weeks of blog, where me and Chris blog once each week for 10 weeks. It’s going to be like the 40days of blog, but even more epic er.
Ronaldo and his £80million signing
As most of you all know, Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Manchester United, has been signed by Real Madrid with a record breaking deal of £80million.
Yes, what a waste you may be thinking. Which is exactly what I thought.
So as you do, I decided to price that up and compare costs:
£80million could buy:
- A brand new state of the art Cancer Centre (£65million, like Castle Hill here)
- £15million more aid than what Comic Relief raised in 2009 (£65million)
- Nearly 2 KC Stadiums, which can each hold 25,000 people
- 16million Mosquito nets (only 1 million needed), which could save over a million people who die from malaria a year in Africa.
- Think of all the charity it could go to, Cancer Research to aid developments, it could help find a cure for AIDs, the list is endless…
I could go on, but the fact is, it’s a lot of money and could probably be spent better elsewhere right?
I know teams can afford to buy players like that, for that price, because the football industry is massive from all the sponsors, and TV deals. That’s why we pay £10+ a month for SKY sports. Maybe if everything was downscaled, companies such as BBC and SKY wouldn’t have to pay as much licence fees to show football on their TV, then perhaps companies such as Setanta wouldn’t go bust? Then perhaps BBC wouldn’t have to cut job wages… etc etc
Now don’t get me started on their wages. (too late now..)
Ronaldo has been promised, in his 6th year he will be paid £550,000 a week. Now come on a second, family’s can survive off £20,000 a year, and he’s earning that in just 6hours of time. (Sleeping for one night, for example). What exactly will he do with that money!
Some may argue that he deserves it for being a great footballer, and you pay good money for talent, but lets get real. No one can be good enough to earn £3000 an hour. I’m sorry…

<iPhone Rant>
The new iPhone 3GS
The new iPhone has arrived. Yes it can shoot video, and it now has an incredible 3mega pixel camera. omg… Well worth buying a brand new iPhone for £538.30 (32gb) not.

Read about all the “amazing” new features here
Video recording should have been in the first iPhone, they had to wait until the 3rd version?
Exams
In the past 4 weeks I have:
- Had 1595 minutes of exams (26 hours!)
- Written over 70 A4 pages
- Had no social life
Oh how I’m glad they are over…
Videos of the Week
This is pretty funny, but I guess you have to understand fonts.
I really suggest you watch this guy. He is hilarious.

- Linkin Park – New Divide (Transformers 2 Theme song, it’s awesome)
- Go:Audio – Why
- Silverstein – My Heroine (acoustic)

How sad can you get?
I was playing Halo right (yeah I know, It’s sad) and i noticed a guy had 4222xp. Which means he has won 4222 matches, which means he has probably played around 8000 matches of Halo 3 on his xbox. Bearing in mind that each match is around 10 minutes long, let’s do the maths…
8000 x 10 = 80 000 mins = 1333hours = 55 days = No social life
I mean come on, 55 days of playing a game constantly. Not cool.
OMG

- That’s all that happened to me this week.
Au revoir!
